RebelSat UNLV was founded on inspiring students in the field of aerospace engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Currently, our team is focused on the development of the RebelSat-1 spacecraft. We are developing novel on-orbit maneuvering techniques to aid in the progression of space technology development and the advancement of space exploration.

CHIEF OF HUMAN RESOURCES

RebelSat is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to join our organization. The CHRO will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and execution of human resources activities across the organization. This position will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the organization's goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and policies that support the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to the HR team in the development and implementation of HR initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to HR.

  • Develop and maintain HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree as a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) student.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends as necessary (flexible).

  • Export control course clearance via CITI Program.

ITAR/EAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
