ACCOUNTING MANAGER

RebelSat UNLV was founded on inspiring students in the field of aerospace engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Currently, our team is focused on the development of the RebelSat-1 spacecraft. We are developing novel on-orbit maneuvering techniques to aid in the progression of space technology development and the advancement of space exploration.
ACCOUNTING MANAGER
We are seeking an accountant to join our team and manage the financial operations of our organization. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions and maintain a systematic filing system for all financial records.

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and report on financial performance to management.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Manage payroll processing, including calculating salaries, taxes, and benefits, and ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.

Monitor and analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to management to improve financial performance and reduce costs.

Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
REQUIRMENTS:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree as a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) student.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience as a social media coordinator or similar role.

Experience managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write engaging copy and create compelling visuals.

Strong analytical skills and experience using social media analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Creative thinker with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work weekdays and weekends as necessary (flexible).

Export control course clearance via CITI Program.
